Welcome back to Show and Tell, where I unbox sweet tech for every area of your life. Many of us never thought we’d spend this much of our lives indoors, but there we are most of the day, in our virtual workplace or classroom. And there’s a reason the outdoors is called “fresh air.” The air we breathe indoors isn’t always the most refreshing or clean. Indoor air can be anywhere from five to 100 times more polluted than the outdoors, so let’s check out the Molekule Air Pro purifier available on their website.

HEPA traps; PECO kills

A lot of science goes into purifying your air. You may have heard of a popular filtration system called HEPA. What’s so special about Molekule’s Air Pro? The tech for this purifier has been in development for over 20 years! Hopefully, they’ve worked out all the kinks. Their main technology is called photoelectrochemical oxidation (PECO). Light shines onto the filter, which is coated with nanoparticles. The light activates a reaction that kills all of the germs, pollutants, and bacteria. HEPA traps; PECO kills.

Smart features for the 21st century

This device is pretty smart, too. It can detect the particle level in your room with auto-protect mode. If it reads a high level of larger particulates, it will run on a higher protection mode. If your threat isn’t very prevalent, it can run on quiet protection mode. It also has an app compatible with Alexa and Google Home. From your phone, you can control the fan speed, check air levels and monitor filter status.

Molekule’s Air Mini

This device covers 1,000 square feet, killing as many pollutants as possible and completely cleaning a room in just one hour.  But if you need air purification on a smaller scale, Molekule has the smaller model: the Air Mini. Big or small, this tech should do a great job at keeping your air clean and fresh; it made Time’s 25 Best Inventions List in 2017! Check it out!

I will be back soon with more tech, but until then, check out previous videos here and make sure to subscribe.
